So I think the problem may be related to the fact that my connection at work goes through a proxy server, and maybe Anyconnect on my Win7 laptop is remembering the proxy settings somewhere and does not find the proxy when I'm home so it cannot connect.

unable to obtain session ID from vpn.yourserver.com, ports=443: ConnectionRefusedError: 10061: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. This is a very clear indication that the address and port that the OpenVPN Connect Client is trying to reach, does not have an Access Server web service running there.
